I came for a phone case. The available cases on the floor came in pink, white, and ripped-and-stolen-from-the-box blue. This is the same Target where I recently witnessed somebody's personal comfort dog pooping on the floor while they pretended to be on their phone. Since then they removed it - not the dog poop, the employee. Back to my phone case: The remaining cases were locked up behind protective glass. There were buttons everywhere reading "Need help? Scan here" I scanned all of them and then waited an additional 10 minutes. Finally, I went to the person at the tech desk, who informed me he actually didn't work for Target and was just a vendor (the Target vest fooled me since back in my day a Target vest meant a Target employee). Target started out as a place to buy cheap products before undergoing a glow-up to attract wealthier clients. Then they automated everything with self checkout, locked-up products ($60 item hanging freely, $10 alternative in prison), and buttons promising a human with a key. They somehow also managed to upset political parties of all leanings. When ordering online is faster, cheaper, and less stressful.... When the money you would be spending doesn't fund in-store staff, but rather leadership who've turned the experience into the DMV splashed with perfume and glitter... When you cannot identify specifically what Target specializes in making them different than other retailers... It is time to take your business elsewhere.

Target Doesn't Seem to Care And it's happened again. Today, February 26, 2026, I found that all four elevators are not working. One one elevator has been working for the last couple of weeks, so it's not like the situation wasn't foreseeable. So, be advised, if you need elevator access at this location. None of the elevators are working. AGAIN!! The below post was originally around March 25th, 2025. Well it happened again. Again, none of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. I turned around and went to QFC for my groceries. None of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. Unlike most Targets, this store is in the top two floors in a building attached to a 7 level parking garage. Not on ground level. Their business is dependent on the parking garage and the bay of four elevators between the store and the parking garage. The parking garage and these elevators are maintained by Kite Property Management. The maintenance of the elevators are not directly the responsibility of the Target store. So why complain about Target? Because from my experience it appears that Kite only keeps one or two of the four elevators working at any one time. I have not see either of the two elevators in the south part of the elevator bay working in the last month or so. Why would a company, Kite, invest in establishing this infrastructure, the elevators particularly, and then only maintain it minimally? And why would Target pay what I suspect is tens of thousands of dollars of lease per month and allow the property company to so poorly maintain these elevators that their business is so dependent on? It tells me how little Target cares about their customers experience and for that matter doesn't seem to care enough about the success this store to hold their leasing company to account. For the record, when the elevators were not working previously, I made a point of speaking to a Target manager. I got the answer they they were not responsible for the elevators, the property company was. I did pointed out their business is dependent on those elevators. I think I got a shrug. And in full disclosure, I passed through the building later in the day and the elevators, or at least one, was working. But I'm sure they repaired only one, maybe two of the four elevators. Don't bet on them being available when you next come there. Here's a picture of the groceries that I had to cart all the way down the parking garage.

I highly recommend this optician! Sam was incredibly helpful and attentive. He made sure I got exactly what I needed without any unnecessary costs or upselling. A truly honest and fantastic experience.

I recently bought a shampoo from you and then I suddenly start getting ads on instagram about old spice. Realizing this is not a coincidence, I see that target sells all my data without explicit permission burying it in some T&C. When I try to opt out, it asks me to download a third party app and making it harder. I’ve been shopping at target for almost a decade and always respected the brand for their ethics. Alas, I was wrong. I’m going to stop coming to target even if it means paying more because I don’t want a meagre shopping store telling the internet what my shopping preferences are. Thanks.
