Today was my first visit to the Target across from NCSU. I found this an interesting store that provides many of the items that a student or employee of the university could quickly shop for. The store inside is neat and clean. Outside and in the deck not so much. The parking area had open trash cans, typical of Hillsborough Street it is dirty and rough sidewalks and next to the store a dirty closed off vacant area. The deck had the vehicle height bar hanging dangerously blocking one lane. The store is nice inside but there are things that need to be done to improve the area

Easy to park in their parking lot. Sadly this is not the type of target you would expect. Think Drugstore size and selection. Good target but not what you’d think.

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at this Target. While trying to pay with Google Wallet at the self checkout, I received a card error. Instead of discreetly assisting or even asking what the issue was, the employee yelled across the store, drawing attention to me and then dismissively told me to “contact the card issuer.” No attempt to help, no privacy, no professionalism — just public embarrassment. Payment issues happen every day, and this was handled in the worst possible

The store is near the college, however there is someone for everyone..I'm doing some studying in the area and I go there to get snacks , drinks and dinner for later. I really do like the store..

Someone said hard to park but there is a parking garage right under it that is easy to access with a door that gets you right into it which that reviewer must have not been aware of. You literally drive right off the street to same level parking under the building and walk right in. On the other hand, this Target only has basic college dorm room needs and has only a sliver of the selection of a regular size Target. No toys, decorations, home decor, fun objects, none of that. Just cosmetics and toiletries, school supplies (limited at that), some grocery aisles for the single student, cleaning supplies, and some dorm room essentials like lamps and bulbs.
