B V 3 weeks agoI visited the downtown Target near 4th Street in Austin. This location is inside a building, so you’ll need to park in the parking garage and take the elevator up to the store. From what I understand, parking is validated if you make a purchase and keep your receipt, but it’s worth confirming before you leave. This is definitely a smaller format Target, so don’t expect the same selection you’d find at a regular suburban location. It seems more geared toward people who live or work nearby and just need to grab a few essentials rather than do a full shopping trip. One thing I didn’t love was that the store mainly relied on self checkout. The employees seemed focused on directing customers to scan and check out their own items rather than providing much assistance. I noticed a few shoppers having trouble with the machines and not getting much help. There are only two restrooms in the back of the store, and when I needed to wash my hands, there was a line of several people waiting. The elevator buttons were sticky, so I was definitely ready to find a sink, but the wait for the restroom was longer than I expected. Personally, I’m not a fan of parking garages, elevators, and smaller store layouts. I prefer the traditional Target experience with a large parking lot, bigger selection, and easier access. While it was convenient for the downtown area, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this location again. That said, it’s still Target, and it’s always fun to browse around and pick up a few things. If you’re downtown and need something quickly, it gets the job done.
Vitaliy Greenberg a month agoFinally found Happy Dad at our local Target again after what felt like forever, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Crisp, smooth, easy to drink, and honestly better than most of the other stuff on the shelf right now. No weird aftertaste, no overload of sweetness, just solid flavor that actually tastes refreshing. Huge win for Target carrying it because this is the kind of drink people come back for. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and grab a pack before it disappears.
Charlie Dominguez 3 months agoWent today to purchase a hair trimmer at the Target on 5th street. The 1st attendant was kind and had to call the person with a key to get the trimmers as it was locked. Waited a while and when the young girl came to open the cabinet, she held tight to the product and would not even let me look at the box. Her name tag was upside down so you couldn't easily read her name as it stated Brandy. She Immediately was thinking I was going to steal the item while its 3:00 PM and there was security at the front door. I complained about not being able to see if it was what I wanted, but without saying a word just held it at the counter for me to pay for it. She walked me to the check out where I asked her to get her manager. She then walked off and did not get the manager. I had to ask 3 seperate store workers to get me a manager, all those at the front desk. I don't think they either have managers or just cover for each other as the next person who said he was a manager, had a simple name tag with Kev. I asked about his manager and Kev said it was the store's policy not to disclose names of managers!!!
Anikate Ganju a month agoWish I could give zero stars. Lucy was easily the rudest employee I’ve dealt with in a long time. Her attitude was hostile, dismissive, and completely unprofessional throughout the interaction. The way she spoke to me and treated me made me feel genuinely uncomfortable and racially profiled. What’s most shocking is that management allows someone like this to represent their business. Customer service is clearly not a priority here. I walked out feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and I will absolutely never return. If you value being treated with basic respect, I would avoid this place.
Kenya Brooks 4 months agoI just left out this store that I would never spend my hard earned money at. However, I was door dashing to be in this store for the reason tonight shopping for their customers. I walked out feeling harassed and racially profiled. One I asked the lady to help me in the clothes and she said I can’t leave this area. (Yes other workers were in the self checkout line) I said ok and I tried again to find what the cx was wanting, I didn’t find it, so I went back and asked the same lady can you find someone else to help me. She grabbed someone but stated “I don’t know what that area is called but can you help her” I was so confused, she works at the store. The lady helped me, I go to check out and the next young girl I asked can you take the tag off. She grabs the garment and starts scrolling up and down the screen. I said, do you think I didn’t ring it up. She says I don’t know if you did or didn’t. She scrolled 2 and didn’t see it so I pointed it out to her. Then she goes and takes the tag off and comes back and says “do you want the hanger”? I said it doesn’t matter it’s not for me. She said wow the Attitude!!! What attitude I answered the question you asked me. Then the robo cop walks up looking through at my bags. O I just came to get the baskets. I never shop at Target and never will I!!!! Again I was Doordashing with no reason to steal from anyone!!!!! To be treated with such disrespect!!!
