This location has removed all self checkout counters...and checkout cashiers. I had to checkout on the other side of the store at a counter meant for express checkout which had no room for my 30 items. Then my cart locks because I got to close to the express exit. Seriously Target, WHY? I have never seen a store make it more difficult to shop at.

Vast selections, helpful staff, fair prices. I've never been to a Target so it was a nice place to stop and see what was to offer. One thing I really liked is that when we needed an item, when searching Google it showed that it was in stock nearby, and the quantity remaining at local Target stores, including which aisle! Super useful. Perfect for whatever you may need!

They are always well stocked, but very busy here so sometimes because they don’t have very many express lanes, you can wait in a long line. There is a Starbucks inside this location as well as clean restrooms. Parking is great because it is a part of the Ala Moana Center so parking is free. A fair amount of items in this store are locked behind glass doors so you’ll need to seek a target member in order to purchase them.

Target swapped self-checkout for staffed registers - then didn't staff them enough. For a store with fairly strong foot traffic, it feels like a highly visible reduction in their commitment to customer service (and to ringing up sales). One bright spot: an employee near the Starbucks side whom I hadn't seen before, running two registers simultaneously - keeping the line moving. She was efficient and composed the whole time I was there. Exceptional. Whatever Target thinks of this location, I hope they're taking care of their people!

Removing the self-checkout lanes has made the store far less efficient. What used to be a quick, convenient stop now means waiting in long lines with too few registers open. If theft is the concern, the solution isn’t to eliminate self-checkout altogether. Bring back the self-checkout lanes and hire more security if needed. Taking away a service that many customers rely on has only made the shopping experience worse.
